Early in my life my dad, Lee B. Thomas, founder of Thomas Industries, Inc. and Vermont American Corporation, moved our family to Louisville, Kentucky where I grew up, married and raised my seven children. In September of 1978 we moved our family to Fort Myers. The beautiful sunshine of Southwest Florida kept beckoning us. We had vacationed here and bought property on Sanibel Island in 1964. Since moving to Florida I have bought and sold many commerical properties including vacant land, motels and residential and have owned and helped operate a retail hardware store. I've also managed a solo medical practice for many years. Real estate has always been my love, so several years ago I began working in this business.
